I liked your list of fours. Interesting how there are so many. While threes may be the pattern for story arcs and joke setups, fours cover a lot of essential territory in the structures of our planet, histories, and philosophies.

Exactly. If you add Mary, the Trinity can become a quad.

YES! And I'm assuming you mean Mary Magdeline. You realize that with the 12 apostles and Jesus, he's got a coven. Good thing he wasn't born in Medieval Europe or Salem, MA. Have you read The Alabaster Jar?

Sorry, I meant the Virgin Mary. The superstition about 13 comes from the 13 apostles.

Thank you. Good to know. I guess that 13th apostle is Mary Magdeline? She was the one who Jesus instructed to alert the others He had risen. It was basically up to her to boot the grieving menfolk in the whatsit to get up and share His gospel.

So did I. Curious the unearthing of 4s.

Do you know about the app WeCroak?

Not sure I want several random messages each day reminding me of my mortality. Being over 75 is enough.

I'm more over than you. Believe it or not, they kind of cheer me up. They're not about death. They're about life, really.

Me too. Especially the Four by Four — clever and fresh. Another one to make us think. Thanks, Fran.
