Today's affirmations

The brief version of where I am coming from. The destination is still evolving.

I am independent. I am wise. I am courageous. I am fragile. I am sad, tender, lacerated. Mostly my own doing. I allow myself to need, to trust, to take root, to grow.

As  has happened so often in my life, the whispered chance of understanding has just passed beyond my reach, a light scent in my nostrils, enchanting, evocative, enticing.

I became a lotus-eater when I could have stuck to peanut butter and jelly.
